We’re happy to be featuring an expressive, clean, and fruity Kenyan from our friends at SEY! This is Kayu AA which is a very classic representation of Kenyan coffee with varietals SL28, SL34, and Ruiru 11. We find red fruits, hibiscus, and a very deep profile of acidity. In the finish there is a lime like acidity when cooled and a clean and sweet finish. If you’ve never tasted this profile before it will be a great introduction to what clean Kenyan coffees are!

Our first coffee from Kayu offers a very cool look at Kenyan terroir beyond the slopes of Mount Kenya. Grown off the Aberdare Ridge in Murang’a County, this lot showcases a distinct regional profile. In the cup we find blackcurrant, hibiscus, and Key lime.
