The NFC/RFID recipe cards are ingenious, allowing you to brew coffee exactly as the roaster intended—a game-changer, considering most people unknowingly deviate from optimal brewing methods. The actuated arm that moves the pod between grinding and pouring is simple, mesmerizing, and highly functional. The pods, made from recycled sugarcane, are a thoughtful touch, and the integrated scale that calculates flow is both brilliant and intuitive.

Within minutes, I felt confident using the machine’s components—grinder, scale, and water—independently. We even made tea using the water function, which led us to immediately retire our electric kettle and reclaim counter space.

While it won’t replace my Rocket Mozzafiato for espresso (nor should it), the Studio excels as a standalone coffee machine. Its true beauty lies in the autopilot function and precise recipes, making pod subscriptions the logical choice for consistent, high-quality results.

I plumbed it into the same water line and filtration system as my espresso machine, bypassing the tank due to low cabinets. It works flawlessly.
