Floral forward, structured citrus acidity, honeysuckle sweetness, and a creamy matcha finish!
This coffee is fantastic representation of expressive coffees with cleaner styles of fermentation. We find exceptional white floral aromatics with sparkly and layered citrus acidity. The aftertaste of this coffee is smooth and creamy and reminds us of a well whisked high quality matcha. When cooled, this coffee has incredible complexity with florals, acidity, and sweetness all jumping at you at the same time. We highly recommend you rest this coffee for a minimum of 4-5 weeks before brewing!
This is also a new varietal called CGLE17 which is a hybrid of Gesha and Caturra. We find many of the floral and delicate qualities of Gesha in the cup balanced with the nice sparkly and structured acidity in Caturras. This varietal with the meticulous processing done at Las Margaritas creates a very complex and clean cup.

We had a few cupping sessions with exclusively CGLE offerings which had flavor profiles across the whole spectrum however our team universally loved this one due its great terroir forward presentation and exceptional cleanliness. The florals are truly the highlight of this washed coffee with lovely white honeysuckle sweetness. The zippy acidity follows it up square in the orange citrus realm with a smooth almost creamy matcha finish. The varietal is very unique and you can taste some of the parallels to well grown Columbian geshas but with some interesting variances that are really fun to experience. We hope you enjoy it!
