This Box Set includes Cup of Excellence #20 and #21 from Peru's Cup of Excellence competition. These are both anaerobic washed geshas but showcase very different flavor profiles. In La Rinconada we find apricot, citrus, vanilla, florals, and a creamy body while La Lima has beautiful acidity and structure showcasing peach, mandarin orange, raspberry, and grapefruit. Both of these expressions of gesha highlight high quality processing and terroir in Peru. We suggest you brew these two coffees side by side and see which one you prefer!

Prodigal is thrilled to present this box set of two 2025 Peru Cup of Excellence award winning coffees — La Rinconada anaerobic washed geisha from Roberto Flores and La Lima anaerobic washed geisha from Jorge Zamora Tamay. These represent some of the best coffee from Peru this year, and certainly these farmers' best work of the season. After dozens of hours of sample roasting and exhaustive tastings, these two coffees rose above. We were lucky to secure them during an all-day auction extravaganza, and we worked closely with the mill to expedite their processing and shipping.

From Prodigal:Farmer Roberto Carlos Palomino Flores began growing coffee just in 2018, inspired by his parents. Now Roberto considers coffee an integral part of his life. Two years after establishing his brand-new plantation composed exclusively of geisha, the plants started producing. For this crop, Roberto started by collecting just the ripest cherries he could find. After 24 hours of rest in cherry, he pulped them and stored them in GrainPro bags for a 48-hour anaerobic fermentation. Following that he washed them thoroughly and dried the coffee for 14-16 days.

From Prodigal: At the farm called La Lima, Jorge and his wife Teresa and one other family member perform the entirety of the harvest themselves. Jorge grows beans of Panamanian provenance that he received at an international fair. His humble, award-winning farm is surrounded by fruit and shade tree and spans just one hectare. This coffee underwent a double fermentation process. First the coffee was fermented in cherry for 72 hours. After pulping, it underwent 96 more hours of fermentation. After washing, the coffee was slowly dried for 22-25 days.
