Behind the Inspiration
We knew we wanted to design a coffee machine that was sleek, easy to use, and most importantly, produced great-tasting coffee. But we also wanted to give users the ability to customize their coffee experience. After much trial and error (and many, many cups of coffee), we finally landed on a design that we think is pretty darn close.
One of the most important aspects of the xBloom coffee machine is the bean recognition system. At its core, the xBloom machine is designed to make great coffee. But in order to do that, it needs to be able to identify the type of bean being used.
You might be wondering why that is, since it's not a feature that you come across on other coffee machines. But trust us, it's a vital part of making sure that your coffee is always perfect. And we are about to explain why!
Introducing the xBloom Bean Recognition Technology
The patented xBloom bean recognition technology is our way to infuse soul into your coffee, cup after cup. Αt the bottom of each xPod, there is a unique encrypted RFID that stores all the information, including an automated brewing recipe specifically about this bean, its origin, tasting notes and the whole story behind it.
All you need to do is place the xPod near the top of the machine, and the machine will be able to recognize the bean. From there, the machine will automatically adjust the settings to ensure that your coffee is extracted perfectly. But how do we guarantee great tasting coffee? We work with expert roasters and baristas to understand and decipher the flavor potential of every bean brought to you. All our coffee beans are tested by our quality control team through the coffee cupping process, and then we vigorously experiment with the different parameters in our algorithms to understand the effect each one has on the taste of the coffee. Finally, we store all the information on the RFID and attune our machine to brew at its best.
