This Gesha is from family owned Janson Farm, established in 1941, located between the Tisingal and Baru volcanoes.
Gesha coffee is known to have some of the highest cup scores in the world. The Gesha variety originated in Ethiopia, but it wasn’t until 2007 in Panama that this variety made a name for itself when it broke records for one of the most expensive coffee ever sold in Best of Panama. Ever since, producers started growing more microlot varieties and experimenting with new coffee processing methods, allowing producers to be more fairly paid for their coffee.
