This is a dynamic and clean expression of Landrace coming from Banko Gotiti and is a good showcase of why you should explore washed Ethiopian coffee. When hot there’s tropical acidity in the form of peach, lemongrass, and a long and clean presenting honey note. The presentation is delicate yet perceivable with strong articulation of acidity and high sweetness. We find a deep extension of tropical acidity amongst the more structured lemongrass notes all in a more tea-like body. When cooled each sip is very dynamic hitting you with acidity and leaving you with a long and sweet linger of sweetness that’s more floral and tea-like.
For best results, we recommend you rest this coffee for at least 4+ weeks!
From SEY:
This is our first Ethiopian release of the season. We have been working with coffees from Banko Gotiti for several years now, and this is one of the best expressions we have tasted to date. In the cup we find peach tea, lemongrass, and wildflower honey.
