We are happy to be featuring this Aricha Red Honey from Apollon's Gold! This is a sweet, round, and layered Ethiopian with very juicy notes. We find yellow fruit notes that transition into a plum and a lavender layered finish. The fermentation on this coffee is quite clean and we find an elevated sweetness from the process. As with all Apollon's Gold coffees we recommend you rest the coffee for at least 45 days!  

 

 

From Apollon's Gold:

This is our first ever Aricha lot, sourced by our sourcing partner, QIMA coffee UK. This rare, red-honey processed lot, has a remarkable uniformity (only 2% were removed as defects by our new Ai Sorter!) that is an anomaly for a regional select lot from Ethiopia.

What makes this coffee unique is its red honey process that is considerately designed to subside “fermentation/natural process flavors” and to bring out the terroir the best: the characteristic of the native landraces are surprisingly maximized.

In the cup, you will be greeted with a refreshing flavors of lemon squash with juicy plum underlay, that leads the way to a vibrant lavender finish.
